Why VocalHyre exists

Most interview preparation is either passive or hard to schedule. Reading answers and watching videos does not recreate the pressure of speaking under follow-up questions. Peer mock interviews depend on finding another person at the right time, and human coaches are expensive to use repeatedly.

VocalHyre was built to close that gap: realistic voice practice on demand, with a consistent score you can compare across sessions. The goal is not to replace real interviewers or human feedback. It is to make deliberate practice available often enough to matter.

What VocalHyre publishes

The public Q&A library contains 1,200 editorial questions across 30 tracks, covering AI engineering, RAG, LLM evals, frontend, mobile, backend, databases, cloud, DevOps, testing, and behavioral interviews. Each entry includes a short answer, a fuller explanation, code where relevant, expected follow-ups, and a model spoken answer.

The product supports 200+ role variants. Scores are calculated against a published rubric: technical depth, communication clarity, problem-solving approach, and confidence. The full definitions and limitations are on the scoring methodology page.

Editorial standards

Q&A entries are explanatory study material, not claims about what any specific company asks in its interviews. We do not invent interview anecdotes, offer statistics, or company-specific questions. Where we publish comparisons, we date them and correct them when a product changes or shuts down — including our own.

If you find an error, an outdated comparison, or a claim that needs a source, email support@vocalhyre.com. Corrections are reviewed and reflected on the page.
