How scoring works

After each session vocalhyre transcribes the full voice conversation and analyses the transcript — not keywords — against four dimensions. Scores are generated per session on the same 0-100 scale, so progress across sessions is comparable.

DimensionWeightWhat it measures
Technical depth40%Correctness, specificity, and depth of role-specific answers
Communication clarity30%Structure, conciseness, and clarity under follow-up pressure
Problem-solving approach20%How you reason through ambiguity and trade-offs
Confidence10%Steadiness, lack of hedging, recovery after pushback

What each metric means

50,000+ interviews conducted: cumulative completed scored sessions across free and paid plans, as of April 2026.

94% offer rate (5+ sessions): among users who completed 5 or more scored sessions and self-reported an outcome within 60 days of starting, 94% reported at least one offer. Self-reported outcomes; sample excludes users who did not report. Not a guarantee.

4.9 star user rating: mean of in-app post-session ratings after completed interviews, as of April 2026.

200+ roles supported: count of configurable role templates (Software Engineer, Product Manager, Data Scientist, Engineering Manager, System Architect variants, and others) available in session setup.

Limitations

Offer outcomes are self-reported and correlate with practice volume — users who practice more may differ in motivation and baseline. Scores measure interview performance in simulation, not job performance. Transcripts are text-analysed; strong accents or noisy audio can reduce transcription quality.

Interview data is stored in Firebase under your account and is never sold or used to train third-party models.
